We will be hosting a stand up paddle board yoga class in Mission Bay. Great for beginners--we will all be falling in the water together!
What is SUP Yoga?
SUP is a cool way water enthusiasts shorten the term Stand Up Paddle AKA Paddleboarding. SUP Yoga involves the flow in and out of asanas (yoga postures) all while floating on top of a paddle board. Class will be 90 minutes, which includes paddling to and from location in the bay.
So what do I wear to a SUP Yoga class?
There will be a lot of moving, bending, and stretching. Choose clothes that will enhance your movement rather than restrict it--yoga clothes, swimsuit, rash guard, etc. Don't forget to bring a towel, sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses.
We meet on the sand where the bayside walk meets West Briarfield Dr.
We will hang out on the beach after for a little bit, so bring a change of clothes in case you get wet.
Some refreshments will be served, but feel free to bring any snacks or food you like.
